Easy S’mores Popcorn

smores-popcorn-recipe12 If you’re looking for a quick salty and sweet snack or dessert, you have to try my easy S’mores Popcorn recipe! This will take you only minutes to make, but with chocolate, marshmallows and graham crackers, it’s an easy way to dress up the everyday movie pairing.

Ingredients:
1 bag microwave popcorn 3.2 oz (or 8 cups microwave butter popcorn)
1 cup milk chocolate chips
1 cup miniature marshmallows
1 cup partially crushed graham crackers

Set your popcorn to pop in the microwave and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Once popped, remove any unpopped kernels from your popcorn and spread it out onto your baking sheet. Place your graham crackers into a freezer bag and use the back of a spoon to crush them. They don’t have to be completely crushed, but you want tiny pieces. Sprinkle your crushed graham crackers and marshmallows over your popcorn.

smores-popcorn-recipe In a small microwave safe dish, heat your milk chocolate chips on 50% power for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until melted. Pour your melted chocolate into a small sandwich bag (it helps if you place the bag inside a glass with the top folded over the outside before pouring the chocolate in). Cut a tiny corner off the bottom of your sandwich bag and drizzle your chocolate over your popcorn. Let your chocolate harden and enjoy!

Ingredients

Easy Gingerbread Cookies

gingerbread-cookies13 It wouldn’t be winter if you didn’t have Gingerbread Cookies! This recipe is easy to make and it’s something that you can bake with the kids – letting them decorate at the end! With a little cinnamon, ginger, molasses and clove, your home is about to smell wonderful!

Ingredients:
3 cups all purpose flour
1 Tbsp ground ginger
2 1/4 Tbsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cloves
Pinch salt
6 Tbsp softened butter
3/4 brown sugar
1/2 cup molasses
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
1 egg
Betty Crocker white icing with a small plastic pointed tip (link for reference)
Small candy eyes

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large mixing bowl, mix together your softened butter and brown sugar. Next, add in your molasses, vanilla, and egg and mix well. Now mix in your flour, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves. Mix until your cookie dough is combined thoroughly.

Roll your dough out on a floured piece of parchment paper and use a gingerbread man cookie cutter to cut out your shapes. Place your gingerbread men on the parchment paper lined baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and let them cool. Use your white icing to draw on your gingerbread man design. Lastly, dip the back of your candy eyes in the white icing and onto the head of each gingerbread man. This recipe made 12 gingerbread men, but that was with the large cookie cutter. If you want to make more, either double the recipe or use a smaller cookie cutter to stretch it further.
