My CVS And Walgreens Shops (Moneymaking Zantac, Cheap Diet Coke & More!)

I have already told you guys my beef with Walgreens today, so I won’t repeat it here. That being said, OF COURSE the best deals seemed to be at Walgreens this week and not the happy land of CVS. I’m kind of thinking of suggesting that Walgreens begins offering free massage moments for five minutes a pop to offset some of the crazy you experience with their registers. What do you think?

Here’s what I did today:

4 Patriot Candles 3 oz B1G1 for $1.99

1 Zantac 24 ct $8.99 (Used $2 from Walgreens March coupon booklet and $4 from 3/23 SS or here)
Use $5 off $30 Happy Cash BEFORE all manufacturer’s coupons, but after the $2 Zantac Walgreens coupon
Paid $16.96 plus tax, Got $5 RR from Vaprino, $1 Checkout 51 from Triscuits and 3,000 points from Coke/Nabisco (after adjustment)
Will file for $8.99 Zantac rebate
Final Price: $1.03 Moneymaker

After all was said and done I paid a total of $2.75. I would say that the pain at Walgreens was worth the price, but when you’re waiting there with a 5-year-old – as wonderful and well behaved as she is – I’m not sure the 3,000 points was worth it! My time and sanity is worth a little more. Anyway, I hope my shops save you a little inconvenience and give you some ideas of what you can do. Happy shopping!
