I know that I’m a glutton for punishment, but I shopped both Walgreens and CVS this week! I’m still stocked up on Bisquick from the last sale we saw at Walgreens, so the only thing I was really after was the moneymaking Reach Toothbrushes. At CVS I found only two Gelusil boxes left on the shelf and only two Ban Total Refresh Wipes, so I’ll just pick up more Ban next week (since it’s a monthly deal! Woot!) Here’s what I did:
Walgreens
Transaction #1
1 Reach Toothbrushes 2 pk $2.99 (Used $2 from 5/4 SS)
1 Caramel $.34 (filler so that I could use my Register Rewards)
Also used $1 RR from last week
Paid $1.33 plus tax using my free Walgreens gift card from last week (read about that here), Got $2 RR
Final Price: $.67 Moneymaker
Transaction #2
1 Reach Toothbrushes $2.99 (Used $2 from 5/4 SS)
Paid $.99 plus tax, Got $2 RR
Final Price: $1.01 Moneymaker
CVS
1 Colgate Toothpaste $3 (Used $1 Colgate here (or from 6/1 SS) AND $2 Colgate from CVS Instant Coupon Machine)
2 Gelusil Chewables $2 (Used 2 $2 from 6/1 RP)
2 Ban Total Refresh Wipes $3.49 each (Used 2 $2 Ban from 6/1 SS)
Also used $3 ECB from previous weeks (reduced to $2.98)
Paid $0 plus tax, Got $4 ECB from Ban
Final Price: $1 Moneymaker
My shops were short and sweet with no hitches, so that was refreshing! I got everything you see above for free along with a nice little $2.68 moneymaker. You’ll notice that I used my $3 ECB and had them deduct the $.02 from it so that I didn’t have to pay anything other than tax out of pocket. I will do that when my total is within $.05 of the ECB that I’m using in order to minimize my out of pocket costs. That is the choice that I make, but please make the best choice that works for you and your family! I hope my shop gave you some ideas! Happy shopping!
