Come on In
So as my first official post for this blog, I thought I’d tell you a bit about why I wanted to create it.
I am a couponer. I have been couponing and budgeting for my family of four for awhile, but have gotten very good at it in the last year. My receipts (and excel spreadsheets! – I have problems) detail that in the last year I have saved over $6,000 in food, diapers, and toiletries. That figure alone propelled me into doing this.
I love a good deal. I love that I have learned to “buy” things for free. My family, my neighbors, my friends, and several local shelters have benefited from all of this. And as much as I enjoy getting a good deal, I enjoy it more when I can share the wealth. And the knowledge! I love when I can teach someone else or give them the heads up. And so here we are.
I credit a lot of great blogs with teaching me how to be a smart shopper. I will credit them as we go, but I want to do it the right way (and I’m new to this), so I’ll hold off on that for a bit.

I looooove your blog and I have been following you for awhile and I love that you respond to your bloggies(like groupies), personally and you have inspired me to start my own blog as well, just to help out! I would never charge and I think the Grocery Game is a bunch of crap because why would you spend money to save money??????!!!!!!!!!! Please don’t ever change and everyone CAN do this and do it for absolutely FREE! No phony DVDS, no gimmicks, no special binder! You rock Alli!
