It’s tailgating time! In the summer you have playground and grass stains, but in the fall you’re looking at food stains. This is one of the hardest things for me to get out of my kid’s clothes. Ketchup, barbecue sauce, chocolate milk – they all end up on my kid’s clothes. That’s why I’m loving the new experiment that Wisk asked me to try.
It was very cold here on Tuesday and my daughter was sick, so we canceled our plan for a barbecue and put it off until this weekend. BUT, my kids were dying to try our experiment. You will soon understand why.
My son put on his brand new (clean!!) white shirt and sat down on our steps to display the fun new tools we get to use for our barbecue.
He is almost incapable of making real smile unless he’s being a superhero and my daughter can never be too far away from her brother (as you can see!)
Next, they got to paint my son’s new shirt with ketchup! Since this isn’t something we do regularly, you can imagine the squeals of delight both before and after.
By the end of the painting process, he had a nice stain going. We gently removed his shirt (“Don’t get any ketchup in my hair, mommy!”) and I took it to the sink to see what Wisk could really do.
First I covered the stain in Wisk with Stain Spectrum Technology, rubbed it in, and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
I truly couldn’t imagine that this stain was going to come out. I’ve dealt with many a ketchup stain and they aren’t fun.
After 5 minutes, I washed out the detergent. It took about a minute for all of the suds to clear. I couldn’t believe it! The stain was gone! Check out this shirt! This last picture isn’t the best, but you can see a sea of white. I kept telling my kids how impressed I was and they kept telling me that they wanted to get the ketchup back out of the fridge. Maybe another day!
