If you have been trying to find an alternative to passing out sugary treats for Halloween OR looking for a thrifty trick or treat option, this may be the one for you! The American Dental Association and PopCap Games (the digital game company that has released such favorites as Bejeweled (come on – you know you play it!), have partnered to raise awareness of the importance of kids’ oral health in addition to providing a fun alternative to candy on Halloween night.
Anyone wishing to give away PopCap’s hit Plants vs. Zombies instead of sweets for Halloween this year can download free game coupons (redeemable for the full PC/Mac edition of Plants vs. Zombies). The free codes can be redeemed online starting October 30, but no later than November 10. They are good for the PC or Mac version of the super-popular game, which normally sells for $19.95. Not only is this a great deal, but it’s a freebie that you can feel good about giving! Watch their Youtube video for a little extra fun.
My son has played Plants vs. Zombies non-stop (when I would let him) for a week. It is an animated game that focuses on (you guessed it) plants trying to keep zombies out of the yard. Other than the zombies looking like the goofy characters above, there is nothing scary about it. Download the game and check it out for yourself! You’ll be a VERY popular parent AND Halloween house next week!
*Note – this post was written in conjunction with the Stop Zombie Mouth campaign and I was given codes to give to my trick or treaters.
