Have you heard of Cheep? It’s my new favorite program! Cheep is a free add-on that you download to your computer. Once it’s set (it only takes a minute), you can visit sites like Amazon or Buy.com and it will tell you if the price that you are looking at is the best price on the market!
For example, I want to see where I can get the best deal on the Scooby Doo First Frights Wii game, so I look it up on Amazon. Once my page loads, I get this message from Cheep at the top (click on the image to make it bigger):
I now know that there are 12 other stores that sell this game and that Buy.com is the cheapest option at the moment. Then I can click through to Buy.com to get my deal! It will also list all of the prices for you at the other stores, so you have an actual price comparison in seconds. With all of the hunting that I do for deals, I can’t tell you what a time saver Cheep is! Since I’ve discovered it, I use it every single day.
The other great feature of Cheep is the online community. This is where you can get together with your friends and share great deals! You can see what your friends looked at, what they purchased and chat about what hot deals you saw that day. You can also make new friends who have the same shopping interests that you do.
