The first thing that we do when we get home from shopping/school/park, etc is wash our hands. I broke out the new hand soap (it's Milk & Honey) and both my daughter and I thought it smelled great! It wasn't overwhelming on the skin, but it certainly did the job and left a pleasant scent behind.
Then, after picking my son up from school (yes, school! Because of the strike, Chicago schools are in session until 6/24), both of my kids broke into the breadsticks with cheese, fruit snacks and cupcakes that my daughter made during her summer cooking class. My daughter gobbled them up, but my son (who loves to "review" things) said that the strawberry/banana fruit snack tasted a bit too much like bubble gum. He then promptly popped it in his mouth and finished the bag.
To clean up, I opened the wipes. We don't need wipes so much for wiping bottoms anymore, but we use them all the time for those sticky hands and messy faces! I can't figure out how my camera ate the photo of my daughter's messy mouth, but it's not there! Here is her silly, not wanting to play mommy's picture game "after" photo. That wipe took off a colorful mess in about 30 seconds!
I'm quite pleased with the purchases we made! My daughter has been decorating her hair all day with the clips and I'm ALL for having more hair bands around – especially at a great price!
One last thing to point out – be sure to pay attention to the SIZE of what you're purchasing. For example, all of these dish soaps cost only $1 at Dollar General, but with the Dollar General brand, you're getting 25 oz and with the name brand, you're only getting 16 oz! You tell me which is the better deal!
