If you’re looking for new ways to help teach your children manners, let Sesame Street assist! The new Sesame Street: Monster Manners DVD has been released and it is all about teaching your kids their pleases and thank yous!
I watched this with my children today and even though they’re not into Sesame Street anymore (which they let me know just before I put it on), they sat glued to the television. I like to think that my children have very good manners, but I loved in particular that this video showed you bits of the consequences of NOT having good manners. In one part, one of the Sesame Street characters is super excited to play and goes running into the room and into a friend. That friend gets knocked over and hurt. Both of my kids commented about how you have to be gentle with friends and even though you don’t mean to hurt someone, you might by not being considerate. Love it!
