So this is pretty exciting, guys! Thanks to April over at Giveaways 4 Mommy, I had the opportunity to try a great Mary Kay product called The Satin Hands Pampering Set. This set comes with an Extra Emollient Night Cream, a Satin Smoothie Hand Scrub, and a Satin Hands Hand Cream and retails for $30.
Before I tell you anything else, I have to mention how much I love the bag that it comes in. It is a thick and durable plastic bag that will probably become a Lego holder once I’m done with it.
The products themselves are really great. When I started the Satin Hands process, I read the instructions a few times. I’m not all that bad at following a recipe or instructions, but I wanted to make sure I was doing it right! It’s bitter in Chicago, I need some satin hands!
First you massage this very thick cream into your hands. It is about as thick as Vaseline. If this stuff isn’t going to moisturize, nothing will!
Next you scrub your hands with the hand scrub. It is easy to use and feels like sandy exfoliation. It isn’t harsh on your skin, but does feel like you are scrubbing away the dryness. This is when you rinse off your winter hands and start to feel like they look human again. Once you apply the hand cream and let it dry, you are in great shape. The whole process left my hands feeling soft and smooth.
I have been using my set before bed in the hopes that the moisturizing goodness will stick with me for awhile. I can use all the help I can get! And I know that I’m not the only one. So, thanks to April –
