Being a mom of two little ones, I know germs. I will admit, I was the overprotective mother who sanitized my children’s hands, shopping carts, tables and everything else regularly. After awhile, I realized that I had to pick my battles. Kids need to build up their immune systems so that they can live healthy lives, but again, you pick your battles! To this day, my kids won’t touch the handle to a bathroom with their hands, they use their shirts or sleeves. There are some germy places that you KNOW will always be germy!
One of the items I like to keep with me at all times is Purell. Again, I try to pick my battles, but when you are at a zoo or any public place, you want to make sure that you’re not carrying those germs home or onto your lunch. I like the Gel Wrapped Purell that I can attach to my stroller (it clips right on), but I keep a larger bottle in the car as well. After I fill up the car with gas? Out comes the Purell!
The biggest concern about using sanitizer though, is the condition it leaves your hands in. It tends to be very drying and that is not what I want to do to mine or my children’s hands. Luckily for us, Purell has thought of this too. They have come out with a new line of Purell Advanced Hand Sanitizer that includes a soothing aloe product AND to new fragrances – Ocean Kiss, which includes hints of morning air and driftwood; and SpongeBob Splash Formula, giving off a fresh scent of banana, pineapple and garden greens. So fun!
You will also want to be sure to enter the Purell’s Healthy Starts for Classroom Smarts Sweepstakes! Prizing includes $250 back-to-school shopping spree, 25 Scholastic books, and Purell products. Great prizes and a super easy entry! Ends 9/30.
If you want to pick up some Purell, you can use this $1 Purell Product printable coupon or the $1 Purell coupons in the 7/29 SS or August All You.
