I know what you’re thinking: Peeps = Easter, right? Well, that’s no longer the case! Much to my excitement (and most likely many of yours), Peeps has introduced the brand new Peeps Minis that are now available every day of the year! These are “bite sized marshmallow chicks” that come in a bag of 24. Maybe I’m a dainty eater (although I don’t particularly think I’m daintier than anyone else), but I get two bites out of these and they are each a really great bite!
I recently got to try the chocolate, strawberry and watermelon flavored Mini Peeps and I have to tell you – I like them better than I like the original Peeps! Not to knock the standard, but these are really their own animal. They are generously flavored, but just as soft and sugar coated as the Peeps you know and love. My favorite was the chocolate – hands down. It tastes like biting into a rich cup of hot chocolate and I could drink that cup until my bag is empty! The strawberry (my daughter’s favorite) and the watermelon (my son’s favorite) were both very very good as well, so I really think this is a matter of personal preference rather than quality. I think they’re all extremely tasty and I’m thrilled to have them available year round!
