I have a confession to make – I sing in the car. I sing loud and proud and I don’t care who sees me. I love to watch Glee and whenever I get the chance to see a Broadway in Chicago musical, I clear my schedule. There’s just something about music! So when I recently got the opportunity to try out the new Paper Jamz Pro Series Microphone, I jumped at the chance!
Paper Jamz has just released this microphone along with their guitar and drum set. These “instruments” let you sound like you’ve been professionally trained and you have a complete blast. My son played the drums (with his hands) brilliantly since he could just tap the area that he wanted to play. You can play with a song, play on your own or just jam however you want to.
The guitar was my husband’s favorite. He could finally be the Metallica guitarist that he had always wanted to be! When you strum the guitar, it actually makes music. There is a guide to teach you the chords and much more. You can choose to play with a song or freestyle, but you can also remove the vocals and play just the instrumental!
Being the singer in the family, I snagged the microphone. Rocking out to Gwyneth Paltrow’s edition of “Forget You” was awesome. It was my Glee experience! You have the option of downloading other songs as well since the microphone can hold three songs at a time. Clip the amp to your waist and rock out on the mic! The options on the amp allow you to sound like you’re singing harmonies, change your vibrato (among other things) AND have it automatically adjust your pitch to be perfect. I had a hard time hearing the change in my own singing, but my husband said that he could tell a difference. I’m not sure how to take that!
