To preface this post, I have to tell you that I happen to believe that the original Star Wars trilogy is the real Star Wars. I am not a huge fan of the new ones and I’ve been dying to get one of those T-shirts that say “Han Shot First.”
Over the winter break, my husband and I allowed our son to watch the original Star Wars (A New Hope? Really?) and he’s been hooked ever since. You can’t get through a conversation without him totally changing the subject and saying something like, “Mommy? Does the rest of Dark Vader’s body look white like his head?” (Yes, he says Dark Vader).
Anyway, he now has me on a quest for Star Wars stuff. Every few days I’m checking the sales on Amazon looking to see what’s discounted. I figure if I start now, I can get some good deals by his birthday.
