I will admit it. I have never used an electric toothbrush before. My dentist has been trying to convince me to get one for years, so I got one for my kids. They say it’s better for their teeth, so I’m convinced! But when it comes to myself and my husband, we’ve always used manual toothbrushes. Like many of you, I have a stockpile, so it’s never been an issue. Then Oral-B asked if I’d like to try the Oral-B Black 7000 Electric Toothbrush, so I said sure! I will fulfill the dreams that my dentist has had for me.
Here is a little bit of information about the Oral-B Black 7000:
- The new Oral-B Black 7000 features 40,000 pulsations and 8,800 oscillations per minute and provides a tooth-by-tooth clean, movien 100% more plaque than a regular manual brush.
- Featuring several different modes for a more personalized brushing experience, including a new tongue Cleaner mode for fresh breath, along with the standard Daily Clean, Deep Clean, Sensitive, Whitening and Massage modes.
- SmartGuide wireless display provides feedback while you brush, guiding you through a thorough, yet gentle two-minute brushing experience, as recommended by dentists.
- Indicator bristles remind you to replace your brush head every three months, or once the bristles have faded halfway.
- For on-the-go oral care, comes with a luxurious yet durable travel case.
- The Oral-B Black 7000 also comes with three refill brush heads.
The Oral-B Black 7000 is amazing. You guys may have picked up that I’m not the most elegant person (what you see is what you get!), so my husband had to jump in and remind me to put the toothbrush in my mouth BEFORE turning it on. Even with his assistance, I sprayed toothpaste everywhere. Take 2: I did everything right. And aside from feeling like my entire head was shaking (weird and I have to get used to that!), I followed the instructions for this fine machine and was thoroughly impressed.
The Oral-B Black 7000 has different modes for what feels best to you and your teeth. After that first instance, I lowered the mode and found a more comfortable clean for my mouth. The SmartGuide actually does guide you in order to help you clean more efficiently and much to my confusion, you do not actually have to continue the back and forth brushing motion in order for this toothbrush to work. It does it on it’s own. It is clearly smarter than me.
I can honestly tell you that my teeth feel incredibly clean – like I’ve just come home from the dentist. Behind my front teeth (my problem area because of the curve) is completely smooth and my molars (other hard to reach areas) feel just as clean. The timer is also helping with making sure that my kids brush for their full two minutes. This has actually helped brushing teeth become a family event! 🙂
