Nivea Moneymaker At Walgreens Update (Be Careful!)

So this morning, Kellie tipped us off (on the CF4 Facebook page) that there were some problems with the Nivea coupons for the Walgreens moneymaker not being accepted correctly at the Walgreens registers. Shocking, I know. So I ran out to try it as well. Here’s what happened (and I’ll post my full shop later – I’m not done shopping today!)

I bought a bunch of things in the same transaction as the Nivea Face Scrub (my first attempt with the $2 coupons from 8/18 RP, since Kellie had said she’d had problems with the $3 printable. This was my test.) The register took the first $2 coupon, the second $2 coupon and a handful of $.50 coupons. When the fourth $.50 coupon rang in, the first $2 coupon popped off. I asked the cashier if he could enter it manually, but he said he couldn’t. I had him remove those from my order, took my coupons back and got at the end of the line to try again.

Second attempt. I tried only the two Nivea Face Scrubs. Those rang up and the coupons went in with no problem. Why? I’m not entirely sure, but I’m not complaining!

Third attempt was with the $3 coupons for the Nivea Balm. Just as Kellie said, the register allowed only one $3 coupon. After going back and forth with the cashier (VERY politely! It’s never a good idea to upset your cashiers since you’ll be dealing with them again every week!), he called the manager and the manager entered another $3 coupon manually.

This WILL happen to you! I wanted to make sure that you were aware so that you knew what to do at the register this week! Hopefully your manager will be as nice as mine ultimately was (he didn’t look at me or speak a word, but he pushed the coupon through, so we’re good) and you’ll be able to get your moneymaking Nivea!
