Have you ever received those emails that tell you that they will pay you to shop? Or the ones that promise you $400 per week? They seem a little too good to be true. And the fact of the matter is that those are. Those aren’t real – they are SPAM and please don’t buy into them.
BUT mystery shopping is a real thing. There are legitimate companies to join and retailer’s who want your help.
This is the first of a series that I am starting about mystery shopping. In this series I will discuss how to get into mystery shopping, the truth and what you can expect from mystery shopping, and companies that I recommend and work for.
The first thing that I want to point out is that you will never make $400 for a shop. Any solicitations that you may receive by email are not legitimate. Legitimate mystery shopping companies do not solicit and will never show up in your inbox. The average pay is between $7 – $10 plus reimbursement for a required purchase.
Mystery shopping companies are located all over the country and are usually accepting applications. Many pay through Paypal, so if you are interested in doing this I would highly recommend opening or having an active Paypal account. Check payments are dwindling.
If you can’t wait for the next installment, take a look at Volition. There are tons of companies that you can dive into. Just make sure you are doing your research in the forum and not only applying from the list.
I will be back shortly to give you some companies to start with. All of the companies I will mention are companies that have paid me or that I know to be legitimate. See you soon!
