I took the kids and ran out to Walgreens last night to give my husband some semblance of a break. I’m probably the only woman in in the country who goes to Walgreens on a Saturday night to kill some time, but with two little ones in tow and only 45 minutes to kill, Walgreens is as good a place as any!
While I was there, I thought I’d see if there were any glucose meters left and take advantage of the Huggies deal. This is one of those great opportunities where you can make purchasing diapers far less expensive than usual.
Here’s what I did
Transaction #1
Contour Glucose Meter
I used
1 “Up to $30” coupon
Final Price: $.34
I got back $5 RR
Total Cost: I made $4.66
Transaction #2
4 Jumbo Huggies $8.99 each
2 Royal Instant Vanilla Pudding (I needed two fillers to use my RR and can use these for a Thanksgiving Dessert recipe – Thanks Lisa!) $.25 each with in-ad coupon
I used
$5/$25 in-ad coupon
3 $2 Huggies coupons
1 $1 Huggies coupon
1 $1 Huggies coupon from Activity Book (took of $4)
1 in-ad Royal Pudding coupon
2 $5 RR from previous transactions
Final Price: $13.23
Total Cost: $23.23 (For those of you who are unfamiliar with my calculations, I always count CATs and RR as cash)
So overall, this shop cost $18.57, but I will file for the Caregiver’s Marketplace Rebate after I’ve bought a fifth Huggies in a few weeks and get an additional $.75 on each package – so $15.57.
Two things: Please find and hold onto your Contour/Bayer coupons from 10/25 RP. This RR deal or an ECB deal WILL come around again and these coupons are golden.
Second, there is a new Huggies deal at CVS starting 11/22 – Buy $20, Get $5 (Diapers 2/$18.99, Wipes $6.99 – Limit 1). If you have a little one in diapers and want to take advantage of this deal, you might want to get yourself set up now. You can print $2 Huggies coupons from here or use $1.50 from 11/15 SS. Also, when you are at CVS this week, pick up one of these Season To Save Booklets for your $4/$20 coupon. There is also a $5/$30 printable available, but don’t print it until you are ready to use it, as they expire within days of being printed.
