Walgreens was my store of choice this week! They had a ton of deodorant deals, so I thought it was the time to stock up! Here’s what I did:
4 Mitchum Deodorant $1.99 each (Used 4 $1 from 7/14 SS)
4 Right Guard Xtreme Deodorant B1G1 for 4.79 (Used 4 $1.50 from 7/14 RP)
4 Dry Idea Deodorant B1G1 for 2.99 (Used 4 $1.50 from 7/14 RP)
2 Colgate Total Advanced 2/$6 (Used $2/2 from 7/14 SS)
1 Crunch Bar $.39 (I was out of coupons, but needed an extra product so that I could use my RR below (because it’s a manufacturer’s coupon!)
Used $3.50 in RR from last week
Paid 8.41 plus tax, Got $3 RR (from Colgate) and 4,000 points (from Mitchum)
Final Price: $4.91
The shelf prices of your Right Guard and Dry Idea will vary by area, but this is what I found at my local Walgreens in Chicago. Hopefully my shop will give you some ideas!
*Note – one thing to remember about this deal is that you cannot use any points to offset your costs! Points work like Register Rewards – if you use points to purchase a deal that will GIVE you points, they will be cancelled out. Very similar to not being able to use RR from one product (i.e. Colgate – say you bought toothpaste) to purchase more of the same brand of products (i.e. Colgate – toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc). That’s how I keep it straight in my head! 🙂
