Today was a bit of a rushed day for me (a Father’s Day celebration and a graduation to go to!), so I ran out early to do my shops. I always try to shop early, but because it was Father’s Day and my husband wanted to go on a high-end donut run in honor of his day (this is HUGE in Chicago. Is it by you?), the kids came shopping with me.
A few things to note: First and foremost, I mentioned that the Register Reward on the VitaminWater Energy was not printing at Walgreens today. Elise mentioned that it wasn’t working on the red cans, but was working on the green, so that’s something! My store gave me 2,000 points instead of the two $1 Register Rewards (which I LOVE! I don’t enjoy trying to spend the $1 RR when we get them), so hopefully yours will too.
Second, my beautiful, amazing and wonderful daughter insisted on holding the Finish Detergent while we were at Walgreens. While I discussed the Vitaminwater Register Reward not printing with the manager, my daughter (it seems) placed the Finish in the candy bins and decided to enact a musical scene from Frozen. It was super cute, but I only realized after we were driving to CVS that the Finish never ended up in my order and that I had paid less than I’d expected to. Sigh. So I’ll be heading back to Walgreens tomorrow.
Third, the CVS register accepted both of my $4 Almay coupons without asking for a reduction and my cashier allowed it. As a bonus, I had enough in my RecycleBank account to get a free $5 CVS Gift Card (free money!) in order to reduce my costs. Also, I had a bunch of Extra Care Bucks to burn, so I did it all in one transaction. Here’s what I did this week:

I am super pleased with how this week worked out (I didn’t expect to make money ($.73 moneymaker) overall), but I’m really hoping that this encourages you to utilize all of the coupons and moneymaking options at your disposal! Those little freebies and moneymakers add up! Collect your Kellogg’s Rewards and RecycleBank points when you can! Print those coupons when you see that there will be a moneymaker! It honestly does pay off.
I hope my shop gives you some ideas!! Happy shopping!
