My Wags And CVS Shops Today

With the Diabetes & You booklet expiring today, I wanted to make sure to get out to Walgreens this morning. It took me going to THREE different Walgreens to find the Accu-Check Meters. Well, I saw two at the second Walgreens, but the person in front of me in line bought BOTH! Okay, fess up! Who was it??

I also ran to CVS to take advantage of the Huggies deal.

Here’s what I did:

Final Price: $2.52
I got back $7 RR ($5 Meter, $2 Lip Care)
Total Cost: I made $4.48

Transaction #2

1 Blink Tears
1 Vitamin Lip Care

I used
$2 Blink coupon
$5 RR from previous transaction

Final Price: $3.36
I got back $10 RR ($8 Blink, $2 Lip Care)
Total Cost: I made $1.64

Transaction #3 was the same as #1

So overall, I left having made $10.60. I am going to try to get back to Walgreens later this week to buy more Blink Tears ($2 moneymaker!), but since I’ll be leaving town on Thursday, the week’s a little short for me.

And just for the record, I bought two Accu-Check Meters, but there were 6 left at the store!

I decided to do the two meter transactions separate because the poor cashier had a really long line. I didn’t want to make him have to do two transactions for me. I go to these stores a lot and I want to be invited back!

I try to keep a chunk of ECB around for a situation just like this. Moneymakers usually convert to free (out of pocket) diapers for my family.
