My Two Shops That Didn’t Work

These shops felt like a total bust. My point in highlighting shops is to show you the good and the bad, so let’s just count these as the bad!

I went to Walgreens to try out the Bayer deal, but it didn’t work for me the way it should have. I also had to get to Jewel to stock up a few things before I take off on Thursday.

Walgreens

1 “up to $30” Bayer coupon (my last one!)

1 $2 Blink coupon
$9 RR from previous transactions

Final Price: $8.29
I got back $19 RR ($5 Bayer deal, $8 Blink, $6 Scalpacin)
Total Cost: I made $1.71

I was also expecting a $10 Bayer RR to print, but I didn’t get it. This deal was not advertised in the paper (that I saw), so I couldn’t be sure that it would work, but I felt like taking a chance. I can tell you that it DOES NOT work with the Breeze 2 Meter. It may work with the Contour, but I can’t be sure. Try it at your own risk!

The biggest issue with this shop is that the $4.10 from the FAV 4 didn’t come off. I have no idea why, as I’ve bought all of these varieties before (thin chicken breasts & tenders). I couldn’t mention it to the manager because these aren’t the advertised products. I’m not going to return them because I feel a little goofy returning chicken. So I’ll just chock this one up to a loss. Such is the life of a couponer!
