It occurred to me this morning that I haven’t highlighted one of my shops for you in a LONG time. With all the hot deals that we’ve seen, I honestly haven’t done a lot of shopping outside of my home! My Fed Ex guy and I have become fast friends and my husband was teasing me about barely being able to open the door when he got home because there were so many boxes. Well, now that the holidays have passed and I’ve been able to get out and do some good old-fashioned shopping for free.
I took my daughter out this morning on a little shopping spree. Three stores, three snacks. We were well prepared.
First we went to Walgreens and bought:
1 Colgate Max Toothbrush $2.99 (Used $1 from Wags Holiday booklet)
1 Rephresh Tampons $4.99 (Used free coupon that was going to expire 12/31)
2 Nyquil Sinex Nighttime $10 (Used 2 $4 from 12/26 P&G)
2 Nyquil Sinex Daytime $10 (Used 2 $4 from 12/26 P&G)
2 Puffs Tissues (Used 2 free Puffs wyb 2 Vicks products from 11/28 P&G)
Final Price: $7.55
I got $12 back in RR ($2 Colgate, $10 Nyquil)
Then we ran to CVS:
1 Colgate Total $2.99 (Used $1 from Jan All You)
1 Tone Body Wash $3.88 (Used $1 from Coupons.com)
Also used $4.87 in ECB (had it adjusted down from $4.99) and got my Bag Tag scanned
Final Price: $.67
I got back $5 in ECB ($2 Colgate, $3 Total)
Last, we ran to Jewel. I had a few free coupons that were going to be expiring 12/31 and the hubby needed coffee. Plus, we just used the last of our Banquet meals and there was a new sale. We don’t use them a lot, but the kids think they’re a great treat when I serve them and they’re a nice backup if we’re in a crunch to get out of the house.
10 Banquet Meals $10 (Got $2 Instant Savings)
1 Gala Apple $.69 (My daughter refused to let go of it. LOL)
5 Tribe Origins Hummus $5 (I used 5 $1 printable coupons)
2 Yoplait Yogurt Cups $1 (We just ran out, but I forgot my coupon for it. Grrr)
1 Papa Nicolas Coffee $5.99
3 Jimmy D’s Griddlers $4.49 each (Used 3 free coupons)
1 Butterfinger $.99 (Used a free coupon)
1 Marie Callender’s Meal $2.49 (Used a free coupon)
1 Barilla Plus Rotini $2.19 (Used a free coupon)
I also used the $12 in Register Rewards I got from Walgreens
Final Price: $4.64
Overall, I ended up spending a total of $12.86 out-of-pocket. I would have included the food in my picture, but the yogurt, apple, and hummus were all eaten within minutes of my getting home, so it didn’t happen. Oh well!
There are a lot of free coupons that are going to be expiring 12/31, so make sure to get to the store!
Happy Shopping!
