I don’t know about you, but I was SO excited to shop this week! I’m not sure if that makes me a sad person or not, but I couldn’t wait for this morning! The truth is, there were so many items on sale this week that my family uses regularly, I knew it was an awesome week to stock up. Here’s what I did:
CVS
6 Cotton Balls Bags $1 each (Used 6 $1 Cotton Balls coupon from Instant Coupon Machine last week)
2 Charmin Basic Single Rolls 2/$1.99 (Used $1.49/2 from Instant Coupon Machine AND 2 $.25 from 7/28 P&G)
1 CVS Training Pants 2 pk $.99
1 South Beach Diet Bars $2 (Use $1 South Beach Diet coupon (zip 30303)
Paid $1.99 plus tax, Got $.99 ECB from Training Pants
Final Price: $1 (Note – I have a ton of ECB from last week, but only $3 and up. If I were to do this deal again I’d pick up 2 South Beach boxes and use my $3 ECB for no money out of pocket)
Walgreens #1
10 Purell Singles 4/$5 (Used 3 $1/3 from 7/28 SS)
2 Scunci Hair Bands $.99 each
1 Reach Toothbrush 2 pk $2.99 (Used recent $2 printable (no longer available) – but you can use $1.50 from 8/25 SS)
4 Kraft Velveeta Shells & Cheese 2/$4 (Used $1/2 from Walgreens Aug coupon booklet – took $2 off)
6 Purex Ultrapacks B1G2 for $4.79 (Used 3 $1/2 from 8/4 RP)
2 Sure Deodorant $1.59 each (Used 2 $1 from 8/11 SS)
Paid $26.23 plus tax, Got 2,000 points from Purell and $2 RR from Reach
Final Price: $22.23
The first Walgreens I went to was out of Kool-Aid (okay, who got there super early and cleared my shelves?? ;)), so I went to another just down the road.
Walgreens #2
4 Kool-Aid Canisters $1.99 each (Used $1/2 Kool-Aid coupons AND $1/2 Kool-Aid from Walgreens Aug coupon booklet)
1 Reach Toothbrush Single $2.99 (Used recent $1 printable (no longer available) – but you can use $.75 from 8/25 SS)
Paid $5.95 plus tax, Got $2 RR from Reach and $2.50 CAT from Kool-Aid (this CAT ends today 8/25) AND $.75 Kool-Aid from Ibotta
Final Price: $.70
After all was said and done, I spent a total of $23.93. That’s more than I would usually like to spend at the drug stores, but I’m not complaining! Every item up there is something that we use and I’m planning to donate half of the cotton balls to my daughter’s former preschool for crafts. Everybody wins!
Even if you spend more than you typically would, be sure to look at your receipts!! I saved $112.09. That’s 82% savings! I’m good with that!
