There’s a lot of fun going on at both CVS and Walgreens this week! That being said, be sure to read about the Dial Hand Soap no-go (unless your store takes expired manufacturer’s coupons – most won’t, although a few of you have some golden stores!), the Gillette Shave Foam moneymaker at CVS and the possible Swisse Vitamins moneymaker at CVS! I did not get the $10 Swisse coupon, but I’m still pretty happy with how things went.

The one thing I want to point out specifically about the CVS deal is that I paid $1.77 out of pocket and got 5 jars of peanut butter. I am all about doing the moneymakers, getting the freebies and building a stockpile, but these are the times when having those extra ECB come in handy. If you can keep those ECB rolling week after week, you’ll suddenly find that you have a nice stash of money for CVS and that your our of pocket expenses will be very little. So while I spent more than I typically would at CVS, I got five jars of peanut butter for the total of $15.77 that I spent at both stores today. That’s like buying the peanut butter on sale at the grocery store and getting everything else for free! All I’m saying is that it’s okay if you’re not making money every week. Couponing is about buying the things you need, not just the items that are free! Okay, I’ll get off my soapbox now! Happy shopping!
