My CVS And Walgreens Shops Today

I don’t know if I wasn’t in the mood to shop the deals last week or there just weren’t any great ones, but today I couldn’t wait to shop! Between the great freebies and Planter’s moneymaker at Wags and a $4/$20 CVS coupon I got in my email (check yours!) I couldn’t get there fast enough. I know, I’m sad. senyumkenyit

Here’s what I did:

CVS

2 SoyJoy 6 pk
1 Crave-Nx Spray
1 Caramel (filler)

I used
$4/$20 coupon from my email
$14.99 ECB

Final Price: $1.67
I got back $20 ECB ($8 Crave Spray, $12 SoyJoy)
Total Cost: I made $3.34

Walgreens

Transaction #1

2 Wet Ones
2 Neosporin Lip Cream
6 Planter’s Peanuts

I used
3 $1/2 Planter’s coupons
2 $1.50 Wet Ones coupons
2 $3 Neosporin coupons
1 $1 Planter’s coupon from Diabetes & You Booklet (took off $6)

Final Price: $8.39
I got back $4 RR ($1 Wet Ones, $3 Neosporin)
Total Cost: $4.39

Transaction #2

4 Planter’s Nuts

I used
2 $1/2 Planter’s coupons
1 $1 Planter’s coupon from Diabetes & You Booklet (took off $4)
$1 RR from previous transaction

Final Price: $1.14
Total Cost: $2.14
After filing for the $10 Kraft rebate I’ll have made about $3 (counting the stamp).

I did two transactions at Walgreens because I wasn’t certain if there was a product limit on the Diabetes & You coupons. There was nothing listed, but I didn’t want to take the chance that they would only take off $5 and have to deal with the headache at the register. So if nothing else, I can confirm for you that they take at least $6 off at a time!

Also, I handed my Diabetes & You coupon over first (which I generally don’t do – I save Wags coupons for last – but I wanted to see how much they took off and I knew there was no overage). After that coupon scanned, the rest of my coupons beeped. I’m honestly not sure why since that’s never happened before, but my cashier entered the rest of my coupons manually. Do what you are the most comfortable with, but I would still suggest giving the Wags coupon first. You don’t want to have to explain to your cashier that the $1 coupon should have taken off $6. Usually (and hopefully!) they will see that the rest of your coupons are valid and push them through. But for 10 free cans of nuts and an extra $3 it’s worth a tiny headache, isn’t it?
