The last few days have been a little insane for me, so my shopping trip got ALL out of whack. I was at a conference in Wisconsin on Sunday, so I knew that I’d have to do some shopping on Saturday night (when Walgreens starts their sale prices, my Dollar Tree is already selling Sunday papers and my local CVS starts their new ad deals after 5PM) and some today. Well today was a total bust since everything was sold out, so here’s what I did on Saturday evening:
Walgreens
4 Suave Lotion B1G1 50% Off for $3 (Used 4 $1.50 coupons from 11/17 RP)
6 Purex Ultrapacks B1G2 for $4.79 (Used 4 $1 Purex coupons and 1 $1.50/2 coupon – neither available any longer)
Paid $7.08 plus tax, Got 4,000 points
Final Price: $3.08
CVS
Nature Made Vitamelts $6.99 (Used recent $3 printable – no longer available)
Contour Glucose Meter $9.99
2 Nivea Shave Gel $3.99 each (Used $3/2 Nivea coupon)
Also used $18 in ECB from previous weeks
Paid $.96 plus tax, Got $5 from Nivea, $5 from Nature Made and $9.99 from Contour
Final Price: $1.03 Moneymaker!
After all was said and done, I paid $2.05 for everything above – including six bags of detergent! I purchased the diabetic meter in order to roll my Extra Care Bucks AND because people need them desperately, so I try to donate them when I can get them for free. I plan to go back to my local stores later this week when they restock in order to pick up one or two of the freebies at Walgreens – again to roll my Register Rewards. Also, be sure to read how you can get moneymaking Nivea at your CVS store (or free if you’re in my Chicago market). You don’t want to miss it!
