So, my shops today didn’t go entirely as I expected, but I’m still pretty happy with my haul. My CVS didn’t have any Tena products less than $6.99, so I’m going to keep looking for a better way to use my $5 coupons (read about the free and moneymaking Tena here). Also, it appears that Chicago did get the $1 Riesen Candy coupons, but I couldn’t find them in ANY of the four inserts I purchased the weekend of 7/27, so that was a bummer. That being said, I got some good deals! I had a bunch of ECB to roll at CVS, so I opted into getting a Physicians Formula Eye Liner ($7.49 – the cheapest PF product that I saw – with $7 ECB back) as well as the free after ECB Stop Smoking item (which I’ll donate.) Here’s what I did:
CVS
1 Honey Nut Cheerios $1.88 (Used $.50 Honey Nut Cheerios or Honey Nut Cheerios Medley Crunch Cereal Printable)
1 Mucinex Allergy 5 ct $7.50 (Used $2 Mucinex Allergy from 9/7 SS)
1 Physicians Formula Eye Makeup $7.49
1 CVS Stop Smoking Kit $4.99
Also used $18.97 in ECB from previous weeks
Paid $.39 plus tax, Got $4.99 ECB from Stop Smoking, $7 ECB from Physicians Formula, $5.50 ECB from Mucinex and $.50 Honey Nut Cheerios from SavingStar
Final Price: $1.37
Walgreens
5 Garnier Fructis Shampoo and Conditioner $3 each (Used 5 $2 Garnier Fructis from 9/7 RP and printables from this morning (no longer available)
1 Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups $.99
2 Werther’s Candy Bags 2/$3 (Used $1/2 from Walgreens Sept coupon booklet and 2 $1 Werther’s Candy coupons)
Also used $2.50 RR from last week
Paid $3.49 plus tax, Got 3,000 points from Garnier and $.99 Reese’s from SavingStar
Final Price: $2
After all was said and done, I spent a total of $3.37 for everything. I also discovered (and you probably thought of it first!) that my SavingStar freebie at Walgreens is a perfect way to roll one of my Register Rewards each week, so keep that in mind! It’s the filler you’re going to get 100% back on anyway, so why not? I hope this gives you some ideas! Happy shopping!
