My CVS And Walgreens Shop (Moneymaking Mucinex Allergy & More!)

This was an “eh” kind of week for shopping, but the unadvertised Mucinex Allergy moneymaker really spiced it up! Because this was unadvertised, I chose to make my two Mucinex purchases separately. Theoretically you should be able to stack any deal that earns you points, but because this deal was unadvertised, if I didn’t get 6,000 points for the two boxes and only got 3,000, there was no way to bring it up to my cashier or manager. I figured I would just play it safe. Also, I had a few Register Rewards from two weeks ago (expiring today) that I had to burn, so I picked up some salt and baking soda as fillers. Here’s what I did today:

2 Twix Bars $.49 each (Used $.50/2 Twix coupon)
1 Oreo Cookies AND 1 Chips Ahoy! Cookies 2/$5 (Used $.75/2 from 1/26 SS)
1 Morton Salt $.69 w/in-ad coupon
1 Nice! Baking Soda $.69 w/in-ad coupon
Used 2 $4 Register Rewards
Paid $2.61 plus tax, Got 3,000 points from Mucinex, 2,000 points from Oreos/Chips Ahoy!, $1 for Halls from Checkout 51 and will file for $2.50 Mucinex rebate from 2/23 SS
Final Price: $2.11

After all was said and done, I spent a total of $7.30. I got a lot of stuff that we needed and wanted (cheap Oreos and Chips Ahoy!!), so I’m happy. I am not sure how much longer the Mucinex moneymaker will last, so I highly recommend trying to grab yours tonight if you haven’t shopped already! Good luck!
