There were a bunch of great deals this week, but there were only a few that I knew we’d use. (Any other week of the year I would have jumped on the Haribo Gummies deal, but we still have bags of candy left from Halloween.) We don’t use aspirin or the Rescue Pearls in my house, but free is free and I’ll donate them. I’m happy to eat the tax on items that I know that someone can use. That said, I didn’t stock up on the free St. Joseph aspirin because I know that other people will be looking for it. One is good enough for me! The only hitch in my plan was that my husband took the car with my Extra Care Bucks in it (doh!!), so I had to pay for everything out of pocket. Our marriage will survive, but he’s in BIG trouble. 😉 Here’s what I did:
CVS
1 Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bar 1.55 oz $1.19
1 Just The Basics Paper Towels $.79 (Used $.79 Just The Basics from Red Instant Coupon Machine)
1 Rescue Pearls $9.49
Paid $10.68 plus tax, Got $9.49 ECB from Rescue and $1.19 Hershey’s from SavingStar
Final Price: Free
Walgreens
1 St. Joseph Aspirin $2 (Used $1 from 11/9 SS)
2 Ricola Cough Drops 2/$3.50 (Used $1.50/2 from 11/9 RP)
Paid $3 plus tax, Got 1,000 points
Final Price: $2
Because I am a self proclaimed Ricola addict, my stock up price is anything for $1 or less per bag. We haven’t seen a deal on Ricola in what seems like forever, so I’m running pretty low. Two bags are going to have to keep me until we see a better price in the next few months! I hope this gives you some ideas this week! Happy shopping!
