I don’t know about you, but summer is the time where I find it the most challenging to keep my kids busy. It’s often too hot to go outside and I’m always looking for creative ways to keep them busy. To help us all out, Musselman’s is offering to Cool Off Our Summer with some fun recipes and ideas!
I am a big fan of smoothies (they’re like magic in a blender!), so I’m looking forward to trying this recipe with my children:
Creamy Peach Berry Smoothie or Ice Pops
1 Cup Musselman’s Natural Apple Sauce
2 Cups Peaches
1/2 Cup Raspberries or Strawberries
Juice from 1/2 Lime
1/2 Cup Milk
Puree ingredients in a blender to make a refreshing smoothie or add them to Ice Pop molds for a frozen treat! Yum!
This is a very cool way to spice up your salad:
Tomato Basil Salad Dressing
2 Large Roma Tomatoes (finely chopped)
2 Tbsp White Balsamic Vinegar
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
4 Tbsp Fresh Basil (finely chopped)
2 Scallions (finely chopped)
2 Tbsp Musselman’s Natural Applesauce
Sea Salt and Fresh Ground Black Pepper to taste
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Yum!
