Fine Print: I was given free coupons for review and Muller is giving prize packs to readers. All opinions and statements below are my own.
When Muller Yogurt came to the states a few years ago (2012 to be exact), I’d never heard of it. I first tried it at a conference, actually. It was really good yogurt and I was very excited, but they said it wouldn’t be released in the states for a few more months. They were just starting to get the word out. Well let me tell you, Muller has arrived and they are here to stay!
I was reintroduced to Muller again through my kids, actually. They came home from a day-visit to my mom’s house saying, “We HAVE to get the colored yogurt that grandma has!!! It’s the best yogurt EVER!” Not knowing what they were talking about (colored yogurt??), I got specific instructions to visit the one store in the Chicagoland area that she knew sold it. We went there and my kids went CRAZY. I think we bought 20 Muller FruitUps during our first visit (for $1 each) and they were in heaven. Happy kids = happy mommy.
Now Muller has released a whole mess of new options for us to explore through the Corners and Greek Corners! I recently picked up a bunch of Corners: the Muller Crunchy Granola (vanilla yogurt with granola pieces), Muller Choco Balls (vanilla yogurt with chocolate covered crispy rice) and Muller Dark Chocolate & Cherry (lowfat yogurt with dark chocolate shavings and cherry). My entire family tasted everything and there were some definite opinions!
My son, my husband and I felt that the Crunchy Granola was the best of all of them. It was the lightest option and was something that I would happily grab as a snack. You can’t go wrong with granola!
My daughter LOVED the Dark Chocolate & Cherry. I think I made the mistake of putting too much of the cherry into the yogurt before tasting it, but I will know for next time. The cherry flavor is VERY cherry. This is a good thing, but as the saying goes, everything in moderation. In this case it tasted like we were having a little yogurt on our cherry. That said, the chocolate pieces in the yogurt were good and a bit of cherry topping would have been a great mix-in. This was our second place winner.
I was very surprised to find that I wasn’t crazy about the Choco Balls. They were the collective least favorite, other than my daughter who gobbled that one up before turning to the cherry option. I didn’t find that the Choco Balls really complimented the yogurt, so I think I would have preferred having them separately. Again though, my daughter said this was her favorite of the three.
All of that being said, these are new staples in my house. I have promised both of my children that we will get them whenever they are on sale. And on the mommy front, I’d rather them be eating yogurt over a candy bar any day, so I’m thrilled to give them these as a treat with the sneakiness of extra protein!
Even better, Costco has a FrutUp 12 pack that includes four of each summertime favorite varieties – Luscious Lemon, Strawberry and Orange. We got these the last time we were at Costco and they were less than $1 per cup!
To get everyone excited about these delicious developments, I am giving two lucky readers a Muller’s Prize pack consisting of 15 free Muller Yogurt coupons and a pair of neon colored sunglasses to get you ready for summer!
