Remember that kind of funny Roast deal at Jewel – Buy 3 lbs Jewel Choice Beef Boneless Chuck, Top Round Roast or Top Loin Pork Roast for $2.99/lb, Get Farm Stand Carrots 1 lb bag, Russet Potatoes 5 lb bag, and Farm Stand Celery Free? WELL, not so funny anymore! Apparently you don’t need to buy the freebies to get the credit for them!
Here’s how it will work: You will need to buy a roast that costs over $10. DO NOT get the freebie items. When you scan the roast $5.48 should deduct from your order automatically. You will want to do this at the self checkout so that if you don’t get the deduction you can just cancel your order. I don’t know for sure if this will stay in the system until things change at 12AM on Thursday morning, but I can’t imagine they’d change it now.
Also, if the $5.48 doesn’t deduct from your order, please don’t argue with the cashier about it. This isn’t a part of the advertised deal and you won’t win the argument. That’s why self checkout is the way to go on this one. Have a great dinner!
