While we have all been scouring our Jewels for Chimichangas, some of you have expressed concern about the recent Jose Ole recall. I did a little digging and here’s what I found out: the recall does not involve the Chimichangas. Jose Ole activated a recall for various steak and shredded beef Taquitos whose UPC numbers you can find in a nice and neat list that they’ve compiled. The recall was activated because of Salmonella.
The products that we have been purchasing at Jewel aren’t a part of the recall, so I am not really concerned, but you do what you feel is best. Happy hunting!
