Here are your Jewel deals for the week!

If you haven’t read about the Pillsbury CAT deal or the Slimfast deal make sure to read them!

The FAV 4 Mix or Match Meat deal is back again!! This is my favorite rotating Jewel deal by far.

The way it works is this: You buy any 4 packages of meat or seafood with the “Fav 4” label. You pay $19.99 for 4 packages, with savings deducted at the register to bring you to that price. BUT, there is a better way to work this deal.

In the packaged chicken section you will find smaller Signature or Perdue packages of chicken priced around $2.50 (some more or less). Buy 4 of THESE packages (which will cost you under $10 total) and get the discount on those! $4.10 will automatically be taken off of your order at checkout, making your total about $6 for 4! You will want to look for the smallest packages you can in order to make this deal work well for you. It sounds strange, but that’s the best way to save the most.

This also works on the small packages of the “Pub Pack” burgers. You can ask the butcher to package one or two burgers (do not ask for four!) per package to make up three of your four items and use one chicken as the fourth. If you ask for four they will price it differently and the deal won’t work.

One caution: This loophole with the deal is NOT publicized anywhere and the store personnel are most likely not aware of this. Please do not ask the butcher or salespeople to make up small chicken portions for you or 10 Pub Packs. Take what you can find or go to a different store. I typically go to a larger Jewel in order to maximize the potential of finding what I’m looking for.
