Hershey’s Lite Syrup Prize Pack Giveaway!

We are back to school! Many of you have been back to school for awhile, but being in the city of Chicago, we’re just back today after the teacher’s strike. SO happy to be back to our regularly scheduled program!

When my son comes home from school, he usually wants a sweet snack. I’m not crazy about the idea of candy or cookies, so we often have chocolate milk! And since Hershey’s makes a Lite Syrup, we can both have some and enjoy it! (Bwahahaha!)

Research also shows that low-fat chocolate milk is actually a great beverage option for adults to refuel after exercise! I had no idea, but because of its 3:1 carb to protein ratio, it helps replenish nutrients lost from moderate to vigorous activity. When consumed in moderation and with the right recipe, it also makes a great snack for active children because it encourages them to drink their milk. It contains carbs to help refuel muscles, protein to help rebuild and restore muscle protein, fluid and electrolytes to rehydrate and replenish what is lost in sweat and vitamins and minerals to help build and maintain strong bones!

There are a number of different chocolate milk recipes out there (and not all provide the same benefits or have just 150 calories).  As recommended by the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, it’s best to choose low-fat (1%) or fat-free varieties of milk. Hershey’s recommends using 8 oz of lowfat milk with 2 tbsp of Hershey’s Lite Syrup with 50% Less Sugar to get your best nutritional results.

The information above is provided by HERSHEY Center for Health & Nutrition, a center that sponsors cutting-edge research on the health benefits of cocoa, chocolate, nuts and other ingredients.

To get everyone excited about the benefits of chocolate milk, one lucky will win a Hershey’s Prize Pack including a bottle of Hershey’s Lite Syrup, an adult reusable cup, a package of colorful straws and fun reusable kiddie cups!

To enter this giveaway, complete any or all of the options listed below. Giveaway ends 9/25. Good luck!
