In my house, one of our dinner staples is fish sticks. They’re quick, they’re easy to make and everyone in the family will eat them. If you have a picky eater in your family, you know how much that means!
I was recently given the opportunity to try Gorton’s Artisan Fillets with my family. We made the Lemon & Cracked Peppercorn along with the fish sticks just to see what the kids thought. Unfortunately, none of us were huge fans of the Artisan Fillets.
My husband and I both felt that although it was fairly well flavored, there was way too much breading around the fish – and it felt like too much in each bite. My daughter said that it tasted and smelled like fish – and then proceeded to tell us why she didn’t like fish as she took a bite of her fish stick. My son smelled it and said that it smelled too fishy. By comparison, the Gorton’s Artisan Fillets were definitely fishier smelling and tasting than the fish sticks. That might be a good thing for some, but it wasn’t a win in our house.
