Worst case scenario, you get a rebate check back for the price of the product minus your coupon – meaning that you paid less out of pocket, but got your full price back. Either way you win! Remember, it is ultimately the decision of the company as to what they refund you, so you are not doing anything wrong by using a valid manufacturer’s coupon with your purchase.
