If you have to check your blood glucose regularly, you can sign up for a free Contour or Breeze2 Glucose Meter! I know that many diabetics get their supplies for free, but if you don’t or if you even have a co-pay, meters always come with a beginning set of test strips. Think about grabbing one just for the extra strips!
Diabetic Connect (who supplies the meters) also has a community. I am not comparing myself to anyone who struggles with diabetes, but I had gestational diabetes with both of my children and understand some of the issues that one has to deal with. I can tell you that it was not easy and that I would have loved to have a community to be a part of. I didn’t realize that there was one at that time, so I thought I’d share. Just my two cents!
