Welcome to Couponing For Community! This is going to be a great week and I’ll tell you why – This is a week where we get to think about helping others.
I have a huge stockpile. Every few months I donate a portion of it to a local shelter or children’s home. This week, I’m going to take a picture of what I donate as an example and I’d love to know if you will join me!
I have teamed up with a group of 50 amazing bloggers (led and inspired by Kaley at Cha-Ching On A Shoestring) who have decided to make this week about Couponing For Community. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to give back, you just have to be creative.
Think about what you might be able to give. How much can you buy with $7 this week? Make it a personal challenge and then donate all of your “winnings.” It will be worth WAY more than $7 once you’re done!
May 8 happens to be the day of the Stamp Out Hunger Drive. Do you have any free Healthy Choice soup hanging around? I bought 24 cans of soup last week. A significant number of those cans are going towards the drive this weekend. It’s always nice to have extra soup on hand, but the fact of the matter is, I know that in a few weeks or months I’ll be able to get more for free. These people need it now.
If you are in this with me, let me know! Head over to the Facebook page and respond that you’re “Attending” (and leave a comment here!). Then, take a picture of whatever you feel that you can donate. You’ll be able to upload your pics and tell your donation stories on the Facebook page for all of us to see. I’d love to hear about it!
I’ll have my donations ready and posted on Monday or Tuesday, so if you’d prefer to see what I do first, no problem! This is an all week event!
