If you haven’t heard, Amazon will be raising the rate of Amazon Prime from the $79 price (that it’s been for many years), to $99 per year. If you haven’t joined or renewed your subscription yet, I HIGHLY recommend doing it now while you can still get it for $79. Here is what Amazon has to say:
“If your membership renews before April 17, 2014, you’ll be charged at a membership rate of $79. If your membership renews on or after April 17, 2014, you’ll be charged at a membership rate of $99.
The annual charge for Amazon Prime includes FREE Two-Day Shipping, Prime Instant Video, and the Kindle Owner’s Lending Library.”
I have been an Amazon Prime customer for what is easily ten years (if not longer) and that won’t change with the price increase! If you regularly order from Amazon, it is SO worth your money. I can order things for $6 at any time and have it two days later. I don’t have to worry about shipping cost or holding items in my cart until I can get up to the $35 free shipping threshold. We get household items, gifts, food, books, movies and so much more from Amazon, that the $99 per year is basically the cost of my convenience. Your time and energy cost something! And you’re looking at $8.25 per month (i.e. the $99 per year) which is less than the cost of a movie. I don’t get out to the movies much these days, but I DO have to shop for my family. So incredibly worth it.
