There is a new $5/$20 printable available for CVS. I have been trying to decide whether to post it, and (as you see) I have decided to go ahead and let you make up your own mind.
Here’s the thing – This printable is available from an ad that was located in California and is now available online. I don’t know if it was uploaded by a person or with the permission of the company. Either way, this kind of thing tends to come back and bite us. The printable is valid – it will scan and work for you in the store – but it will have the same barcode every time you use it (just like a PDF or a coupon from the newspaper) and will appear somewhat suspect because it’s a printable. This kind of thing has happened in the past and CVS (or the company in the predicament) has issued a statement not to take the coupon any longer because they didn’t expect or approve the online reproductions.
I believe that this coupon is valid. It was valid in the paper it was printed in. I wouldn’t have posted it if I thought it was fraud. But honestly, I’m on the fence. I’m going to let you decide what to do for yourself.
I kind of think that CVS gives us enough stuff and enough moneymaking opportunities, but that’s just me. I probably won’t use it, but will in no way pass judgement on anyone who chooses to (that’s not my way anyway!). Like I said, I’m on the fence.
