I am putting this up here for those of us who are familiar with the Buy $30/Get $15 Jewel deal currently running. This is jumping ahead quite a bit, but these deals are really worth doing.
At Jewel currently, if you purchase $30 worth of a particular group of products (listed on your Wednesday insert and in this spreadsheet) you will receive 3 $5 Catalina’s (the little coupons that spit out of the machine at the end of your transaction) good for your next order. They typically expire in two weeks. While this deal appears to be pretty good as it is, it gets better. When Jewel has a Catalina deal, the price you are trying to meet is actually based on the shelf price, not the sale price. This goes basically food only (the Jewel side) and not toiletries (the Osco side), although sometimes we get surprised. Through 8/12 (and some people are saying 8/14!), the following deals will work for you at Jewel –
*Buy 7 Organic Bertolli (it has to be the Organic for this particular deal!) at $2 each – pay $14 plus tax, get $15 back = .50 moneymaker!
*Buy 10 boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios at $2 each – pay $20 plus tax, get $15 back = $5
There are coupons for these in the 8/9 SS and the 7/19 SS. If you used 5 of the $1/2 coupons from the 7/19 SS these would be free!
*Buy 6 22oz Squeezable Hellman’s mayo at $2.50 each – pay $15 plus tax, get $15 back = FREE
Use any of the .60 coupons from the 8/2 RP and this will be a moneymaker!
*Buy 12 Knorr Pasta Sides Plus Veggies (must be Plus Veggies for the is particular deal!) $1 each – pay $12 plus tax, get $15 back = $3 moneymaker!
Use $1/3 from 8/2 RP to make it a larger moneymaker (thanks Mashup Mom!)
*Buy 5 Breyers Ice Cream at $3 each – pay $15 plus tax, get $15 back = FREE
There are many more scenarios for this deal, but these are the best that I see. I have done several of them and still plan to go back for more!
Disclaimer: These usually work, but due to occasional problems they may not. You will have to decide whether you want to return the products or eat the cost. Either way, please don’t take it out on your cashier. They work hard, deal with a lot of people, and being nice will get you much farther. Besides, if you intend to become a couponer, you will see them often!
