I went to IHOP with my family last week and we had a great time. My son – who has suddenly stopped eating everything – discovered chicken and waffles for the first time. Oh. My. Goodness. If he could have licked the plate he would have, but I made him settle for scraping it with a fork. I’ve never seen a child so happy!
I had the Spinach, Roasted Pepper & Cheese Griddle Melt. It really was delicious! I got it with a side of fruit and ordered a pancake on the side. You go to IHOP, you’ve gotta have pancakes! I enjoyed my sandwich immensely. I was wondering if it would be bland, but the Pepper Jack cheese gave it a nice little kick and tied the whole thing together. I took the second half home and had it for breakfast the next day!
My daughter ordered the Funny Face Pancake and my friend ordered Bacon, Eggs and Blueberry-topped Pancakes. My daughter LOVED that hers came with yogurt and gobbled that up first. Then we all played with the multiple syrup options on the table. My son’s favorite (shockingly) was Butter Pecan, but I think I’m a Boysenberry girl myself. Overall, we all enjoyed our meals thoroughly and will be going back there soon. My kids have already asked!
