When I make lunch for myself, it is usually halfway through the afternoon. I tend to forget to eat until everything in the house is settled and then I hear my stomach, so I’m always on the hunt for something new that I can grab and eat on the go.
Have you seen the new Totino’s Pizza Stuffers? They are brand new Pizza Pockets that come in cheese, pepperoni or combination. They can be cooked in the microwave or the oven for your best results and they’re very easy to prepare.
I recently had the opportunity to try the new Totino’s Pizza Stuffers and they were great! I made them in the microwave and they took about two minutes each. I expected some cheese seepage after removing them, but they were completely intact and very hot. I kept one for myself and gave the other to my daughter. One pocket is not enough for an adult lunch, but if you added some yogurt and fruit, you’d be good to go!
The crust was soft and doughy in a great way. I expected something crispier, but this was extremely satisfying, more like a warm pizza crust. I made the Cheese flavor and my daughter and I had to wait a bit for the pockets to cool off. After trying hers, all my daughter would say over and over was, “Yummy in my belly button!” And when she finished her pocket, she asked for the rest of mine. I would say that’s a winner! Anything that my children have that reaction to I will buy in a heartbeat. And I really enjoyed them too, so it was success all around.
The only complaint that I have about them at all is that you appear to have to heat each pocket separately. It’s not a big deal to spend an extra 2 minutes at the microwave and if that’s the biggest issue I have, that’s saying something. Next time I’ll try heating them for a little longer while in the microwave together. I’m up for a little experimentation!
