Walgreens clinics have goody bags with some samples and Q’s in them. And this week there is one for $1/1 Colgate Fresh Toothbrushes that are on Sale for $2.99 with a $2RR :)

Can anyone explain how the Walgeens deals work? Do we get money off directly as they ring up and combine with our coupons on hand or do we have to buy upfront and get refunded? Never tried it. Have same question for how Rite Aid works. I love to get total or near total freebies, and I’m trying to build up my coupons again. I am an old freebie website owner for 6 years who just had to let it go. Website is for sale, no idea how to sell a website. We were quite popular and a large site.

Thanks for any info.

As far as the Walgreens deals, I can help you there. For many of them (the ones with the Register Rewards), you pay up front and get a coupon at the end for an amount off your next purchase. It is a manufacturer’s coupon, so if you’re in the Chicago area, Jewel accepts them. In other areas your grocery store may accept them too. You will have to see if they take competitor manufacturer’s coupons.

For something like the Breathe Right Strips above (these are old deals, but as an example), you buy your item for $4 and use a $1.50 coupon. You’ll pay $2.50 plus tax and get a coupon for $4 back. You’ve essentially made $1.50 towards something else!
