If you’re a fan of Chick-fil-A and you happen to live in the Chicagoland area, you know how elusive the trips to Chick-fil-A were before we got some a few years ago. In the years before I had kids, my friend Sam and I would drive to Wisconsin monthly and bring back a huge bag of Chick-fil-A chicken nuggets, waffle fries and sauces for our friends and my then-boyfriend/fiance (now husband). It was just part of our life. We couldn’t have Chick-fil-A in our own state, so we made do! And if you happened to travel to a state with Chick-fil-A (or had some in an airport), it was good practice to take a picture and taunt your friends. Am I the only one who did this?
Well now Chick-fil-A is offering us three new grilled chicken entrees in addition to the original chicken menu that you know and love! These include the Chick-fil-A Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Chick-fil-A Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich and Chick-fil-A Grilled Nuggets. After testing more than 1,200 recipes, “Chick-fil-A landed on a new recipe that has a blend of sea salt, lemon, garlic and herbs, and is grilled on cast-iron grates to give it a smoky flavor like it was made at home on your backyard grill.” Each sandwich is piled on a thick, multigrain bun along with a fresh lettuce leaf and tomato.
