While I was at Blogher, I had the opportunity to meet some great people from Avery Dennison, the school and office supply company. They make fabulous products that can be used everywhere and you probably already have some in your home!

Well now, Avery is hosting a sweepstakes! The Avery Celebrates Teachers Sweepstakes is being held in honor of our teachers and how much they give of their time and to our students. Due to budget cuts, they are also having to give of their personal funds. Avery is hoping that this sweepstakes will help to give back to a few special teachers.

I have never been an Aldi shopper, but lately they’ve really been piquing my interest. I have heard more and more positive things about them – particularly in the last year. People report their prices being lower overall, the staff being extremely helpful, and the stores well stocked. Why didn’t I know that??

Now Aldi has come out with a new One Week Challenge – Try shopping them for one week and see the savings. Let them go head to head with your grocery store! They don’t accept coupons, but with Aldi’s everyday prices, you shouldn’t need them. Compare your receipts from your usual grocery store with your Aldi receipts and see how much lower their prices really are.

They say that if you only buy store brands at your local grocery store and only buy the store brands at Aldi, you’ll save approximately $1,996.80 per year. That’s a lot of money!

Those people who know me best know that when I am home, I am wearing “Happy Pants.” Happy Pants are classified as anything that is comfortable, not crunchy or restrictive, and usually made out of cotton. Think pajama pants, yoga pants, boxers or anything else that makes a body happy. So when I heard that Hanes had come out with the new Comfort Flex Waistband Underwear, I was super interested in putting them to the “Happy Pants” test. I like to think of myself as a bit of an authority on lounge clothes, you see.

The boxers that Hanes generously gave me to try are super comfortable. The material is light and loose and the waistband just as described. I am a big fan of the boxers that don’t leave marks on your skin and these totally fit the bill. The waistband is soft and stretchable and never left a mark on me. Granted, men wear boxers a little bit differently than women, but my husband was quite pleased with the pair he got to try as well (they come in 3 packs!).
