Avery Back-To-School Gift Basket Giveway!

by Alli on September 2, 2010

While I was at Blogher, I had the opportunity to meet some great people from Avery Dennison, the school and office supply company. They make fabulous products that can be used everywhere and you probably already have some in your home!

Well now, Avery is hosting a sweepstakes! The Avery Celebrates Teachers Sweepstakes is being held in honor of our teachers and how much they give of their time and to our students. Due to budget cuts, they are also having to give of their personal funds. Avery is hoping that this sweepstakes will help to give back to a few special teachers.

To enter this sweepstakes you must be a school employee (Teacher, Aide, Administrator, etc) or a homeschooling parent. You can read the Official Rules for further information.

Prizes include:

  • One (1) grand prize package, which includes: a goodie bag of Avery products valued at $500; a SpaFinder gift card valued at $350; and a Starbucks gift card valued at $150
  • Three (3) second prize packages valued at $200 each
  • Five (5) third prize packages valued at $80 each

If you aren’t school faculty, you can also help by cutting Box Tops! Avery participates in the Box Tops for Education program and provides Box Tops on their products. Make sure to cut them out and give them to your school so that they can turn them in for cash!

Avery Dennison is also generously providing a gift to one Couponing For 4 reader! One lucky winner will win an Avery Gift Basket (a $50 value!) similar to the one in the picture above!

There are several ways to enter this giveaway:

Easy Entry: Tell me something great about a teacher. Your teacher, your child’s teacher, a memory, anything.

YOU MUST COMPLETE THE EASY ENTRY TO CONTINUE WITH THE REST.

The following will get you extra entries once the above entry is submitted:

3. Follow me on Facebook and leave a comment.
4. Follow me on Twitter and leave a comment.

**Please leave a comment for each individual entry. There are a total of 6 possible entries allowed per person.**

This giveaway will end on Thursday, 9/9 around noon. If you can still comment, you can still enter! The winners will be chosen by random.org and notified by email shorty after the end of the giveaway. The winner will have 48 hours to claim their prize before I will have to choose a new winner.

Good luck!

My history teacher always inspired us to focus harder on the story instead of memorizing facts and was always able to interest his students into great debates.

I still have letters my third grade teacher wrote to me after she left for maternity leave for the year. She was such an amazing teacher and school wasn’t the same after she left but the letters helped.

I did have one teacher that made a huge difference in my life. My junior high French teacher was so supportive and worked hard to bring back my confidence. We stayed in touch for years after and she was actually my little sister’s teacher, as well.

My family of 5 took in 5 foster kids last year. We always need school supplies for their classrooms. I also took on homeschooling my youngest daughter because the last year has been tough on her with all the changes. I thought we could home school so we can spend a little more time together. It’s been a challenge running 8 kids to 5 different schools, home school, keep up the house, run the kids to all over for sports, karate, basketball, church groups, etc. My days are very long and usually start at 7 am and end at 11 pm. We welcome any help! :)

My favorite teacher, Mr. Brown, taught latin and had a story for everything. His life experiences made class so much more interesting.

I’m having a hard time picking one. I guess my Earth Science teacher stands out. When I was applying to colleges he went above and beyond for me. There was a particular college I really wanted to get into but did not (My SAT scores were not up to snuff for them). This teacher wrote a letter and called the college to reconsider me. I was not reconsidered but I thought it was great that this teacher was so concerned for me that he did all that.
