I think it’s fair to say that I am totally shopped out right now. BUT, with today being the last preschool day of the week, the new sale starting today, and me being almost out of chicken I took the little one to Jewel. This is the largest shop I’ve done in a long time and I couldn’t pass up the deals on the things we use so regularly (goldfish, granola bars, pasta, cereal, chicken).
Here’s what I did:
Transaction #1
4 Signature Breast Tenders
$4.10 came off the total and I paid $7.21 OOP
I did this first at the self checkout because I didn’t want to draw any attention to the deal and I wanted to buy a total of 8 packages.
Transaction #2
2 Hartz Dog Biscuits (we don’t have a dog, but my dad does!)
1 Daisy Sour Cream
8 Goldfish
3 Sargento Shredded Cheese
10 Ronzoni Pasta
2 Quaker Chewy Granola Bars
3 Quaker Delights
2 Oscar Mayer Delimeat (we were almost out and I thought I’d grab the freebie sandwich)
2 Playtex Gloves
2 Sparkle Paper Towels
3 Cap’n Crunch
2 Life Cereal
3 Bananas
1 Strawberries
4 Chicken Breast Tenders
1 Oscar Mayer Deli Creations
$6 came off the total for the Buy $10, Get $3 Instant Savings deal
$5 came off for the Quaker deal
$4.10 came off for the Fav-4 Meat deal
I used
2 $2 Hartz coupons
5 $1/2 Ronzoni coupons
1 $.75/2 Quaker Chewy Granola Bar coupons
3 $1 True Delights coupons
1 Free Deli Creations wyb 2 Oscar Mayer Delimeat
1 $1/2 Sparkle coupon (I found this in my variety of booklets from 9/13 – it must be regional!)
2 $1 Playtex coupons
$5 CAT from previous transaction
Final Price: $37.61
Total Cost: $49.21
Total Savings: $89.44
Somehow in my sleep deprived state I convinced myself at the store that my list was wrong and that I needed to buy 10 products for the Instant Savings deal. We all know that’s wrong (don’t make that mistake!), but luckily most of what I bought was on the $.70 list anyway.
